Shake It Up foundation australia

Shake It Up foundation australia

Our support group is part of the Parkinson's Queensland Incorporated network.  PQI works with Parkinson's Australia and other State Parkinson's bodies to lobby the government for recognition and support of PwP in Australia.  Apart from the assistance they can provide to members directly, becoming a member will help swell their representative numbers so that lobbying the government will make more impact.  Why not visit their website and see for yourself.

Shake It Up Australia is a not-for-profit organisation established in 2011 and, in partnership with The Michael J Fox Foundation, promotes and funds Parkinson's Disease Research in Australia, aiming at better treatments and ultimately a cure. Clyde Campbell, a Parkinson's sufferer, is the founder and CEO of the Foundation.  He asked himself, 'Do I want to be Clyde that has Parkinson's or Clyde that did something about having Parkinson's?'

The Michael J. Fox Foundation exists for one reason: to  accelerate the next generation of Parkinson’s Disease (PD) treatments.  Quoted, 'In practice, that means identifying and funding projects most vital to  patients; spearheading solutions around seemingly intractable field-wide challenges; coordinating and streamlining the efforts of multiple, often disparate, teams; and doing whatever it takes to drive faster  knowledge turns for the benefit of every life touched by PD'. https://www.michaeljfox.org
