special events 2019 - 2022

end of year lunch 2022

Fiona and Susan joined us from PQI.

Blue Mountain Hotel is an great venue for us - excellent access, close parking and everyone seemed to appreciate the generous plates of food as well.

A sea of faces - some long time members and some newer members.

Some at the lunch told stories about their unexpected ‘blast from the past’;  meeting up with someone they had not seen in years – from schooldays; from teen years; from early work days. What a small world it is!

We thought we might have to ask for the background music to be turned down - NO NEED! We drowned it out with our chatter.

Our largest group gathering to date - 70 through the door and 14 sincere apologies.

our 'lunch with the parkinson's bunch' 2020

An annual awareness and fundraising lunch is usually held on the first Thursday in May.  Coupled with a Multi-Draw Raffle, This raises enough money for us to donate to Parkinson's research and cover the yearly expenses of our group's activities.

Covid-19 caused cancellation this year.

great prizes!

The group has some wonderful prizes donated to the annual raffle.  Tickets are only $2 each or 3 for $5.  This year the main prize is a hand-made quilt.  Usually the raffle is drawn at the luncheon.

Covid-19 caused postponement of the raffle this year.

THIS RAFFLE HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR THE YEAR AND WILL BE UP AND RUNNING AGAIN IN 2021.
